Donation to "Le Grigne"
01 June 2017Saturday, 20th May 2017 during an official Ceremony taken place at the Social Community Center "La Valle" in Introbio (Valsassina) two brand-new DUCATO minivans were donated to "La Cooperativa Le Grigne" by Officine Ambrogio Melesi & C" and by a local bank.
The two vans will be used for transportation from home to the day center for disabled people in Primaluna, and back home. The aim of the center is helping the individual to reach a physical and psychological well-being through activities that support being part of a group.
A group of families who had disabled children founded the center in 1983. Nowadays "Le Grigne" serves the entire territory of Valsassina, from Premana to Ballabio and it offers its guests many activities through which the disabled guests can daily express their different and specific abilities and relate to the other group members in a positive way. Among numerous activities: hygiene and personal care, ergo-theraoy, handicraft, music-therapy, drama, psychomotor, computer skills, gardening, day-out on the territory, residential experiences, free-time relax, horse-therapy, tayloring and arts.
Officine Ambrogio Melesi boasting solid and deep roos in its territory had decided to strenghten them by supporting Cooperativa "Le Grigne" because it represents the values that Melesi appreciate most: concrete solidarity and true commitment.
