Trophy in the memory of “Giovanni Invernizzi” 40th anniversary 1981-2021
24 June 2021During the Italian Indoor Moto-Trial Championship, Officine Ambrogio Melesi &C s.r.l. will commemorate 40 years of passing, of the pioneer Giovanni Invernizzi, with the inaugural TROPHY IN THE MEMORY OF “GIOVANNI INVERNIZZI” 40TH ANNIVERSARY 1981-2021.
The event, organized by Moto Club Valsassina V. Ciresa a.m. in collaboration with the Municipality of Cortenova, will be held on Saturday, June 26th at 20:00 at the sports field of Cortenova "Ambrogio Melesi". Competing will be the best Italian riders, including Matteo Grattarola, Lorenzo Gandola, Luca Petrella and Mattia Spreafico, who will challenge each other over six areas of totally artificial obstacles, including some made using flanges and forged steel pieces.
The Trophy commemorates Giovanni Invernizzi, a visionary, endowed with great courage, a spirit of sacrifice, with a sense of responsibility and community. Thanks to his entrepreneurial vision and innovation, together with his wife Pina Melesi and his father-in-law Ambrogio Melesi, he began in "Ambrogio Melesi & C." a new innovative activity at that time, and a long successful adventure that still continues non-stop over four generations.
In fact, between 1950 and the early 60’s, the "Mr. Giovanni" (as it was named), was the pioneer in the Valsassina industrial evolution moving from the production of agricultural tools, to that of flanges for the large chemical and oil industry. Having always at heart its Valsassinese territory and primarily, the well-being and quality of life of its collaborators, he was also the proud promoter of hospitality, building a house for employees and the integration of the Sardinian community in Cortenova
Still, after 40 years, his ideas and his heart are making Officine Ambrogio Melesi, Cortenova and Valsassina "shine" all over the world!
